Plain-language summary: Sheet Analyst works with the spreadsheet you currently have open. In the public beta, workbook contents are processed within Google Apps Script and are not sent to Better Work Apps or an external calculation service. We do not sell personal information or use Google user data to train AI models.
Who we are
Better Work Apps develops productivity software, including Sheet Analyst. Privacy questions can be sent to support@betterworkapps.com with “Privacy” in the subject.
Google data Sheet Analyst accesses
Sheet Analyst requests permission to view and modify only the Google spreadsheet in which you use the add-on and to display its interface inside Google Sheets. It uses that access only when you choose a feature, for example to analyze a selected range, create results, transform data, audit formulas or update a model.
Sheet Analyst does not request access to all files in Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar or Contacts. It does not receive your Google password.
How spreadsheet data is processed
During the public beta, calculations run in Google Apps Script and the add-on interface. Better Work Apps does not receive or store cell values, formulas, sheet names, spreadsheet identifiers or calculation results on its servers. We do not use Google user data for advertising, credit decisions, surveillance or training generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
Settings stored in Google
Sheet Analyst can store formula snippets and task state in Apps Script user properties associated with your Google account. Saved scenarios and transform recipes can be stored in document properties associated with the current spreadsheet. These settings are hosted through Google Apps Script, not on Better Work Apps servers. Avoid putting confidential personal information in names or descriptions for saved items.
Website and support information
If you contact support, we process the name, email address, topic, subject and message you provide. Do not submit confidential spreadsheet data. The website is hosted by Vercel, which may process ordinary request, security and diagnostic data such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL and timestamp. The support form uses Resend to deliver your message by email. Those providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy and security terms.
Why we use this information

- Respond to support, privacy and security requests.
- Diagnose defects and protect the website and users from abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
Sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share information only with service providers required to operate the website and support channel, when you direct us to do so, when required by law, or when necessary to protect rights, safety and service integrity. We do not transfer spreadsheet content to those providers.
Retention
We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain security records and meet legal obligations. Infrastructure providers retain operational logs according to their configured policies. Sheet Analyst beta does not maintain a Better Work Apps user database.
Your choices and deletion
You can stop Sheet Analyst’s access by uninstalling it and revoking access in your Google Account. You can delete saved recipes, scenarios and snippets within the product where available. To request deletion of information sent to support, follow our data deletion instructions or email support@betterworkapps.com with “Privacy — data deletion” in the subject.
Children
The services are intended for general business, professional and educational use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, limit requested permissions and keep credentials out of client-side code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please report suspected vulnerabilities privately to support@betterworkapps.com with “Security report” in the subject.
Future paid services
Before paid plans launch, we will update this policy to identify the payment and licensing data used. Spreadsheet contents will not be sent for license validation. Payment card data will be handled by the payment provider rather than Sheet Analyst.
Google API Services disclosure
Better Work Apps’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Read our full Google API disclosure.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when a change materially affects how we use Google user data.
